In September 2010 we sent our first full-time Missionary to Burkina Faso. Marie To is a highly qualified Midwife with a distinguished career in medicine. Marie has gone to set-up and run an orphanage in Fada (eastern Burkina Faso) under the auspices of AMI an organisation dedicated to delivering compassion to those most in need. Marie’s skills mean that she will be looking after orphans, abandoned babies, teaching women and young girls hygiene, nutrition, health matters and some life skills as well as providing the drugs necessary to control haemorrhage at or after child birth. As a church we are delighted to send and support Marie in the vital work that she is doing... saving lives!
